CHRISTMAS BOX AND VINYL SALE

Until the end of the year, the ECM web shop has two special offers, with reductions on vinyl editions of the Works anthology series, and also on CD box sets.

The box sets: Jean-Luc Godard’s magnificent “Histoire(s) du Cinéma”, complete soundtracks of his innovative video series in a five-CD edition with four hard-backed books, in slipcase, is now available for € 90,-. The 10-CD box set of :rarum “Selected Recordings” Volumes I-VIII, with music of Keith Jarrett, Jan Garbarek, Chick Corea, Bill Frisell, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Terje Rypdal and Bobo Stenson also costs € 90,-. The 12-CD box of :rarum anthologies Volumes IX-XX, with music of Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, Egberto Gismonti, Jack DeJohnette, John Surman, John Abercrombie, Carla Bley, Paul Motian, Tomasz Stanko, Eberhard Weber, Arild Andersen, Jon Christensen, is now € 110,-. These reductions represent savings of between € 30,- and € 40,- per box.

Two 6-CD sets by Keith Jarett, additionally, are available at the reduced price of € 65,-:
the historic “Sun Bear Concerts”, complete documentation of a Japanese solo tour in November 1976, and “Keith Jarrett At The Blue Note: The Complete Recordings”, superb trio jazz with Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette, live at New York’s famous club.

Any of all of these box sets make ideal Christmas presents.

ECM still has a significant number of titles available as vinyl LPs. Retail price for its Works albums, a series of compilations originally issued in the early 1980s, is normally € 9,- per disc. Now these LPs are being offered at half-price – € 4,50 – if you buy three titles from the series. Choose from albums by Ralph Towner, Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell, Lester Bowie, John Abercrombie, Collin Walcott, Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette, Terje Rypdal and Eberhard Weber.
