ECM, which has frequently figured in the Awards listings of the American Jazz Journalists Association has again received numerous nominations for the 2004 Awards.

John Surman (Baritone Saxophonist of the Year)
Keith Jarrett (Pianist of the Year)
Dave Holland (Acoustic Bassist of the Year)
Steve Swallow (Electric Bassist of the Year)
Mark Feldman (Strings Player of the Year)
Additionally members of Dave Holland’s Quintet also received nominations Robin Eubanks, Chris Potter, and Steve Nelson qualifying in trombone, tenor saxophone and mallets categories. And our old friend Bill Frisell was nominated in the Guitarist of the Year category.
The prize winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony at B.B. King’s Blues Club in New York City on June 15.
