French Award for Manfred Eicher
Manfred Eicher, founder and producer of the ECM label, has received the Victoires du Jazz “Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award”, for his outstanding contribution to jazz.
Victoires du Jazz, the most prestigious French award to address the diversity of improvised music is presented annually by an electoral college consisting of leading figures in the music business and the media.
The Victoires du Jazz award ceremony took place on May 7, 2004, in Deauville, France.
