EBERHARD WEBER BIRTHDAY CONCERTS

Eberhard Weber’s 65th birthday is being celebrated with two special concerts in his hometown of Stuttgart on March 23rd and 24th, at the Theaterhaus. Programmed to show ways in which Weber’s work has been influenced both by the European music tradition and by jazz, the concerts will feature the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Roland Kluttig, with soloists including Jan Garbarek, Gary Burton, Marilyn Mazur, Wolfgang Dauner, Rainer Brüninghaus and, of course, Eberhard Weber himself.
The guests are all musicians with whom the bassist/composer has had a long association.
