Delicate, slow stuff, and pretty darn Keith Jarrett-y – especially the childlike, folky quality – but there’s something warm and luxuriant in Fort’s minimalist approach. “Minnesota” feels like watching the sky open to a dawn visity, each moment registered with wonder; her second take on “Paul Motian” caught the soft-petal poetry of that journeying drummer well.
Paul de Barros, Downbeat
This is an intellectually satisfying yet emotionally charged CD, the sounds of which echo in the memory long after the disc has stopped spinning.
